Fleet PM Services
Every PM visit covers the systems that fail most often and the systems DOT inspectors look at first. Our technicians work through a full checklist on each truck such as:
Engine and fluids:
Oil and filter change, fluid levels, leaks, belts, hoses, and aftertreatment systems (DPF, DEF).
Brake system:
Brake pads, drums, rotors, air system, slack adjusters, and ABS.
Tires and wheels:
Tread depth, sidewall condition, pressure, rims, and fasteners.
Steering and suspension:
Wheel play, tie rods, springs, U-bolts, and shocks.
Lighting and electrical:
Headlights, taillights, brake lights, markers, battery, and charging system.
Coupling devices:
Fifth wheel, pintle hooks, drawbars, and safety chains.
Cab and safety equipment:
Seats, seat belts, horn, wipers, mirrors, and emergency gear.
Frame and undercarriage:
Frame members, cross members, exhaust mounting, and fuel system.
If we find something that needs attention, we tell you right then. Most small issues — bulbs, wiper blades, loose hardware, fluid top-offs — we fix on the spot. Larger repairs get documented with a clear quote so you can decide what's next.
Every visit produces a written maintenance record you can keep on file — documentation that supports your FMCSA compliance under 49 CFR 396.3, which requires carriers to keep maintenance records for 1 year while the vehicle is in service, plus 6 months after it leaves their control.
PM Programs
Most fleet maintenance programs use a tiered framework — usually called A, B, and C service — that gets deeper with each level. Light, frequent inspections catch the small things. Deeper inspections at longer intervals catch the bigger ones.
A service:
The most frequent visit — a safety and lubrication check covering brakes, lights, tires, fluids, and high-wear components. Typically scheduled at half the oil change interval.
B service:
Everything in an A service, plus the oil and filter change and a deeper check of the engine and driveline. For newer trucks, this includes pulling ECM trouble codes.
C service:
The most thorough. Includes A and B service, plus alignment, scheduled component replacement, and is often scheduled to align with the annual DOT inspection.
